Stockholm is the host to the 29th Annual International Conference of the Iranian Women’s Studies Foundation

The Iranian Women's Studies Foundation (IWSF) is a non-profit organization. It has no affiliation to any political or religious group or organization and aims to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on issues related to Iranian women, to disseminate information on Iranian women's achievements and to establish a network of communication among communities of Iranian women the world over. The main activity of IWSF consists of annual international conferences where in a theme related to Iranian women is approached through scholarly presentations, art exhibitions, and artistic or dramatic performances.
The Local Committee of the Iranian Women's Studies Foundation, is eagerly inviting visual artists to participate in an exhibition at . Each year, the Foundation hosts hundreds of participants during a three-day conference. This is an opportunity for visual artists to display their artwork in a free environment.
Submitted Artwork will be selected by the following jury:
1: A sample of your artwork in form of digital images via E-mail.
Between one to five images for painters, photographers and sculptors.
RGB color profile
Size on smaller than 1024 pixels on the largest side and at most 4000 pixels.
Less than a minute video from Installation and Video Art.
Please include the first letter of your first name and last name with the the title of the artwork on all digital photos and videos. Sample: SB-The Girl (First initial, last initial, Title).

Artist’s Persian and English biography in 100 words.
Digital photo of the artist at: 3x4 Inches, 300 dpi.
2: Selected visual artists will be notified of the jury's decision via e-mail. Please note: There will not be a public announcement or publishing of the selected artists. They will be notified through the email address they provide IWSF.
All original art work must be received by the committee: date and time
Artwork will be returned to their respective owners: date and time
These dates are not changeable and the artists agree to these conditions by submitting their artwork.

The artist must provide a label for their artwork.
The artists can sell their artwork at the conference. 20% of the selling price will be donated to IWSF 2016.
Artists are responsible for providing their own supplies, frames, base, and make ups, to display their work. Hanging works must be ready for hanging otherwise ithey will not be displayed.
Artists are responsible for transferring their work to and from the conference.
IWSF and (ABF Stockholm) are unable to take delivery or accept artworks sent to the conference venue
Necessary measures to protect artwork will be taken during the conference but IWSF and (ABF Stockholm) do not accept responsibility for insuring or any loss or damage in any shape or form to the artwork,
IWSF is unable to accept financial responsibility for travel, storage, and transportation of artwork.
Priority lies with artists who have not displayed their work in the IWSF Conference exhibitions for the past 5 years.

Friday and Saturday: 12 am to 8 pm
Sunday: 12 am to 5 pm
The Organizing Committee request artists to take responsibility for the exhibition along side other organizers for a few hours so conference participants can meet the visual artists.
